Mathijs studied law in Leiden, England (Oxford Brookes University) and Australia (Monash University). Exploring law, he was increasingly drawn to intellectual property subjects, and went on to completely focus on this area during his master’s degree. During his studies, Mathijs engaged in various extracurricular activities. He worked at several specialised law firms and provided plea trainings as a student-assistant. In his free time, Mathijs likes to play field hockey.
