Newsflash: legal definition for vegetarian and vegan food

The European Commission will (finally) start with the preparations to establish legal definitions of vegetarian and vegan food. This was announced last week in the REFIT Summary. Article 36 FIC-Regulation requires implementing acts on the legal definition of vegetarian and vegan food.  It took the European Commission some time, but now it (finally) announced that the preparations for the delegated act will start in 2019. The European Vegetarian Union (EVU) welcomes this development.
