Klachten over poster horror-Sint-film

[:nl]De poster voor de komische horror-Sint-film van Dick Maas (een een ‘enge’ Sinterklaas in silhouet, hier links) roept uiteenlopende reacties op. Jonge kinderen kunnen door de poster van slag raken. De Reclame Code Commissie heeft tientallen klachten ontvangen, waarover de komende week wordt beslist.Sint draait vanaf 11 november in de Nederlandse bioscopen. Adformatie beschrijft de film als "een komische horrorfilm waarin Sinterklaas wordt geportretteerd als een bloeddorstige maniak die met veel plezier kinderen onthoofdt". Regisseur Dick Maas gaf dit weekend aan verbaasd en geïrriteerd te zijn: "We hebben heel bewust niet het verminkte gezicht van Sint op het affiche gezet’", legt hij uit. "Niet alleen om de tere kinderzieltjes te beschermen. Maar vooral omdat het voor de kijkers leuker is als ze niet alles van tevoren weten." Hier rechts is het niet-officiële affiche met bloeddorstige Sint afgebeeld. Als je die vergelijkt met de wel gebruikte versie, is de irritatie van Dick Maas wel te begrijpen.De precieze inhoud van de klachten is mij niet bekend. De RCC zal waarschijnlijk beoordelen of deze poster (de 'brave' versie dus) in strijd is met de goede smaak en het fatsoen. Daarvan is niet snel sprake; dit wordt erg terughoudend getoetst. Maar Sint uitingen kunnen sinds jaar en dag nu eenmaal rekenen op commotie zodra van het 'gangbare' Sint beeld wordt afgeweken.[Toevoeging van 22 oktober: Vandaag heeft de RCC de klacht inderdaad - met terughoudendheid - aan de goede smaak en fatsoen getoetst. The Advertising Code Committee received more than ten complainsts that will be decided on this week.The movie Sint will te on from 11 November in the Dutch cinema. The film is supposed to be a comic horror movie in which the children's friend Sinterklaas is portrayed as a creepy maniac who likes to chop small children's heads off. The director, Dick Maas, replied to be surprised and irritated: "We have deliberately chosen not to use the worn out face of Sinterklaas on the poster", he explained. "Not only to protect the poor children, but especially because it is more interesting for the people who will go and watch the movie not to know everything in advance." Here on the right the non official poster with a really creepy Sinterklaas is pictured. If that one is compared to the version that has been used, I can at least imagine Dick Maas's irritation.The exact content of the complaints is unkown to me. The Advertising Code Committee will probably judge whether this poster (the one on the left) is contrary to good taste and decency. This is judged quite marginally.
